We are having a national debate over gender. What is a woman? What is a man?
Even the existence of this argument at every level of public education and civil government demonstrates confusion unprecedented in our national history. But, it’s not only an American argument, it’s a global discussion.
Why is this problematic theologically?
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him, male and female he created them.
If we refuse to define male and female we not only fracture our own God-given identity but we also call the identity of Creator God into question.
Men and women were both uniquely created in the image of God by God. He defines maleness and femaleness beautifully.
To deny this is to deny God.
I have compassion for those struggling for identity clarity in many different ways and for many different reasons. I pray for them. I love them. I hear them.
I have a biblical worldview. It doesn’t lack compassion but it holds to truth. There are some ancient boundary stones we should not move.
