Yesterday as I was reading through a list of happenings in the tweet-o-sphere I saw a post by a respected friend that said “Keep drinking Starbucks if you want to support gay marriage.” It pointed me to an article by Maggie Gallahger that you can read here. My gut reaction was, “I’m done” being a strong proponent of biblical marriage and family. As I thought about it though, I gained a different perspective. Perhaps Dr. Russell Moore has written the clearest, practical gospel response to the question thus far. Moore writes…

“A respected pro-family organization announced this week a boycott of Starbucks coffee. The group, which supports legal protection for traditional marriage, launched the “Dump Starbucks” campaign after a national board meeting in which the Seattle-based coffee company mentioned support for same-sex marriage as a core value of the company. Some Christians are wondering whether we ought to join in the boycott. I say no.”

  1. And make sure you only drink milk from christian cows.
I believe in one man one woman marriage. I can buy coffee anywhere but if we only buy from “sanctified sources” will be drinking a lot more water…oh wait does my water district support gay marriage? What to drink???
Thanks for the article and the info. buy will I see you at Starbucks?
