Terror in the streets.
Blood shed needlessly.
Chaos. Darkness. Evil.
No place is secure. Not even the mighty. Not America, not France. No community is exempt.
How do we make the rain from hell stop? How do we overcome?
Good kings go to war; stomping out the terror with hooves of justice like a horse tramples a rattler.
But the church of Jesus Christ…
We fight in prayer.
We love our neighbors as ourselves.
We comfort the grieving.
We use life and words to share the good news even in the nests of terrorism.
We become brokers of real grace, real hope, real freedom.
All of us; every disciple of Jesus.
We do not recluse.
We do not lash out.
We do not remain silent.
The Master said, “Greater love has no one than this; that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
We love like our Master, blanketing the world with hope.
