- I am thankful for a wife who will kayak through storms with me and smile about it.
- I am thankful for three daughters who really should be named “Justice”, “Compassion,” and “Delight.”
- I am thankful for a 93 year old grandmother who encourages me.
- I am thankful for parents who love Jesus.
- I am thankful for my younger, taller brother who is a partner in the gospel and a yankee.
- I am thankful for three pastors I served with who taught me what to do and what not to do.
- I am thankful for the men and women we call staff that serve Jesus with me and follow so well.
- I am thankful Josh, Roger, Dave, Jason, Mike, Mike, David, and Ron who bear the burden of leadership with me and make it fun.
- I am thankful for the tribe of teachers and youth ministry leaders that partner with us to disciple our children.
- I am thankful for a counselor friend who has cared for me and my family in so many ways.
- I am thankful for trustworthy friends that let me take the “pastor hat” off and be Brian.
- I am thankful for a church chasing the glory of God and determined to serve the world the gospel.
- I am thankful for an astronaut that reminds the world of God’s amazing grace by playing bag pipes in lower earth orbit.
- I am thankful for a police officer that is a pastor in disguise.
- I am thankful for an angry, wounded veteran who stumbled into the grace of Jesus somewhere in Israel.
- I am thankful for a senior adult named “Willie Mae” who is falling more in love with Jesus every day.
- I am thankful for a blonde headed sister who moved to the other side of the world to pursue a strategic “Kingdom Partnership.”
- I am thankful for a brother whose brain cancer only points people to Jesus and for his wife who writes about it, among other things.
- I am thankful for mi hermano who has prayed with me every Sunday for five years and epitomizes steadfastness in suffering.
- I am thankful for two young lions that serve Jesus with me.
- I am thankful for the ever compassionate “Mrs. Cherie.”
- I am thankful for living water counselors who love people so well.
- I am thankful for 800 kids that we get to disciple every day at Bay Area Christian School.
- I am thankful for another police officer who is a missionary to the Middle East in disguise.
- I am thankful for a missionary friend working with Syrian refugees “over there.”
- I am thankful for Christian brothers and sisters who risk their lives every day for the gospel.
- I am thankful for all of you who pray for me and my family.
- I am thankful Mr. Fix it.
- I am thankful for a “Man of the Cloth” who sold T-shirts to me when I was 21 and calls me Pastor today.
- I am thankful for accountants. I could never keep up with all of that.
- I am thankful for a cheer-leading business man who now operates transportation and facilities in Jesus name.
- I am thankful for the gift of hiking Christians around Israel so they can discover their roots and see Jesus more clearly.
- I am thankful for Marty, Tom, Janie, Ruth, Ronen, and Mair. Keep drinking friends.
- I am thankful for Richard, Ron, Michelle, Rob, Ryan, John, Mark, Chris, Kurt, Lydia, Brian, and so many others who champion the family.
- I am thankful for every volunteer servant and leader at Bay Area.
- I am thankful for faithful pastors who are partners in the gospel here in the 4B area.
- I am thankful that it’s true: When you abide in Christ you bear much fruit and so prove to be his disciple.
- I am thankful for Texas.
- I am thankful for Jesus, the one who saved me from my sin and myself and made me righteous by his grace.
- I am thankful for a mission greater than myself and a God who encourages me to dream
- I am thankful for what is yet to come…
I’m thankful that I have a young man that I can look up to and call Pastor and he reminds me to work on being a better Christian and a disciple of Jesus for which I need much work.
